Mike Epps says he loves Detroit, but apparently he's not a fan of one local photographer. The comedian and actor reportedly was in town last weekend celebrating his wife's birthday at the Key Club, one of Detroit's "most romantic soul-food restaurants," when he allegedly confronted a photographer who interrupted the couple's meal.

Gossip rag TMZ published video of the fight in which Epps appears to punch the photographer during a brawl along with a response from the comedian.

"It was a private celebration for my wife's birthday," he said. "I asked the photographer numerous times not to film, but he refused to let up. I then attempted to retrieve the tape from the camera."

Perhaps best known for his role as "Day-Day" in Next Friday, Epps has performed in Detroit several times in recent years. As he explained in a recent set filmed by Comedy Central, Epps lived in the city for a short spell in the late 1980's as he attended Jobs Corps, previously located on East Jefferson.

The Key Club dust-up isn't Epps first run in with a photographer. Back in 2008, TMZ published video of him shouting gay slurs at a photographer at Los Angeles International Airport.
